BELNET is the Belgian national research network that provides high-bandwidth Internet connection to Belgian universities, colleges, schools, research centers, and government departments.
CERT.be is the national Computer Emergency Response Team for Belgium.
I helped in the deployment and I am a member of CERT.be.
My primary responsibilities as a BELNET-CERT / CERT.be member consist of following up and coordinating computer security incidents, distributing security alerts, evaluating new computer security techniques and computer security tools, managing the honeypot, managing the netflowsensor and giving advice and consultancy to our customers on computer and network security.

The "instituut voor Innovatie door Wetenschap en Technologie (IWT)" is a government agency founded in 1991 by the Flemish Government and supports projects for technological innovation in Flanders.
As a member of a team, I was responsible for the management of approx. 20 servers (mixed Windows / Linux) with different services. Additionally we managed and supported the local network with approx. 120 workstations. My primary responsibilities consisted of managing of the different internet services (webserver, firewall, proxy, dns) and the computer security. Apart from system and network administration I also developed internal webapplications in ASP and I also acted as a backup for user-support.
